When I first picked up a camera about ten years ago, it opened my eyes in a way that encouraged me to slow down and see my daily environments in a new light, and I began self teaching. I think we can cultivate new approaches to our ingrained modes of thought when we stay open to viewing our surroundings from different angles, in various lights, and from others' perspectives as well.

My work focuses primarily on our natural surroundings as I am passionate about the care and preservation of our outdoor spaces and wild places. I am a member of Nature First, a global Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography. I love to be able to share the artistry that I see in nature.  My hope is that if nothing else, some of what I see might conjure up emotion for the viewer as well.

I grew up in the state of Minnesota where I worked for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, in Psychology and Education. After college, my husband and I, along with our two daughters have been living in various states throughout the country over the past 16 years during our family's time in the U.S. Air Force. We have recently transitioned into the mountains of Edwards, Colorado where we hope to stay long term. I enjoy working with nature networks and organizations doing good things for the community and for the environment. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions, project requests, or to purchase prints.

Thank you so much for taking a peek!
